A Buhrs 3000 paper wrapping system has been put into use at Slovenská Grafia in Bratislava (Slovakia) for packaging manuals for toy building kits. It is important during processing that the manuals and enclosed sticker sheets match 100%, so that each package is guaranteed to contain the correct contents. The process is monitored by cameras during processing. After collecting the contents, the sets are transported to the packaging unit, where the contents are packed from the roll in kraft paper and provided with a 2D barcode. The Product Positioning Unit (PPU) places the sets in the special 4-sided adhesive pattern, after which the packaging is closed. This is very important, as the product must be fully protected during shipment and delivered 'closed' to the recipient. That is why the result of gluing is checked before shipment. Finally, as an additional check, the weight is checked. Only 100% approved package will be shipped.
